Winter 2026
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
These verses are as applicable today as they were when Paul wrote them to young Timothy, urging him to be alert and to avoid those who live for self and worldly pleasures. We have an obligation to respond through repentance and salvation and to live a life that is contrary to the culture of sin all around us.
Two Bible Dedications in Chad
In November, our BI affiliate office in Chad, Africa held two Bible dedications, one for the Sara Kaba Dem and another for the Sara Madjingay. Both Bibles represent decades of work and sacrifice on the part of the respective translation teams. BI adopted the Sara Kaba Dem Old Testament project in 1994, with Pastor Job Hondo serving as translator for the entire project. The Sara Madjingay people reside in the southwestern region of Chad and number about 183,000. The Old Testament translation project was adopted in August 1994, with Jean Madjisem as the main translator. Over 100 pastors teach from the Sara Madjingay New Testament, and every copy of the second edition New Testament has already been distributed. Anna Beth Wivell served as the BI translation consultant and played a pivotal role in seeing them both completed in 2024.
Currently, American travel to Chad is prohibited as a result of the travel ban. Please pray for a resolution soon as this further complicates the translation efforts for the ongoing work in Chad, including the Sara Kaba Naa, the Day, and the Mbum-Nzakambay projects.
Enhancing Security for BI Staff and Property
Bibles International is preparing to apply for a grant available to churches and non-profits to enhance the security of the BI office, which will also help keep BI missionaries and staff safe. We were blessed to have the donated services of a security expert who identified vulnerable areas and developed a security assessment that will serve as a roadmap for us going forward. Dave is now gathering quotes for the proposal, which include areas such as doors and access control, windows, exterior lighting, etc. If approved, we will have one year to complete the work. However, two additional quotes will be needed for each area before work can begin. Pray for Dave and the other managers as they navigate this process.
Heed Paul's warning and live a life of godliness in 2026!

Harvest Dinner Recap
The annual BI Harvest Dinner was held on October 9, and the Lord worked in a tremendous way allowing nearly $60,000 to be given or pledged that night. Then, only days later, we watched as the remaining $92,000 of the $152,000 goal for the Riza Old Testament came in! We are praising God for the generosity shown through every gift and that the funds to begin the Riza Old Testament are ready once the New Testament is completed.
2026 Children's Missions Program
Ruth has spent much of the past three months preparing the 2026 Children's Missions Program. Daniel's Journey follows a young boy in Africa as he seeks to be obedient to God's leading but also save money to purchase a Bible of his own. The 5 free scripted lessons, visuals, and accompanying materials will be available on the BI Children's Materials page. Daniel's people, the Day people of Chad, Africa will soon have the whole Bible in their language! The Day Bible dedication is expected to be late 2026.
