Spring 2026

Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. (Psalm 25:4-6)

The concept of walking on the path through life while following the Lord’s commandments is found throughout Scripture. Regularly reading the Bible helps us to discern the right path to take, knowing that God will not lead us astray. God has given us His Word to help lead and direct us in life, while His Holy Spirit indwells us to help us and teach us day by day. Call on Him for wisdom and strength as you strive to serve Him.

Busy Start to 2026
The year began with the annual leadership retreat held during the first week of January. The leadership team and their families spent three days together to pray, fellowship, and prepare for the year ahead. After the retreat, Dave turned his attention to preparing for the new fiscal year, which is April 1. This is the second year Dave has led the budgeting process among the six departments. We are praising the Lord for how He continues to bless BI, with fiscal 2026 being our best giving year to date!

In February, Ruth wrapped up her work on the 2026 Children’s Missions Program, Daniel’s Journey. That material is ready to be used and is available on the BI website. Ruth promoted the material at the Grand Rapids Church Ministries Conference and taught a workshop on guiding children into lifelong service. She had numerous conversations about BI and the need for children to be taught about missions and Bible translation. One of her session attendees is considering joining BI in the area of videography to help tell the BI story!

Continued Work on Non-Profit Security Grant
Dave continued work on the non-profit security grant that Bibles International plans to submit this spring. This included finding additional quotes and finalizing the budget. As of this writing, the necessary documents and supporting materials have been submitted to the grant writer who will be preparing our application. Please pray that our efforts since November will ultimately yield a favorable decision on the part of the government, which will allow us to better enhance the safety of our facility for BI missionaries, staff, and guests.

Website Enhancements
The new digital version of BI Briefings required a new area to be created on the website. This has allowed Dave leverage his past experience in web design and usability. Having Briefings available through the website provides greater access to the relevant and insightful articles that are written for each issue. It will also gradually reduce the number of copies that BI needs to print and mail, further reducing expenses.

BI Briefings Digital Edition
Throughout the month of March and into April, Ruth was also busy preparing the triannual Briefings magazine. This issue is unique since it marks the first time BI has published an online edition.

Once the print version was ready, we began creating and formatting the digital version and created an email campaign to introduce the new format to those on the BI mailing list. Read or download the digital Briefings. You can also join our Briefings mailing list.

New Support Needed
We ask that you pray for our support level. One of our longest supporting churches will be ending support as of June 30. This represents a significant reduction and now brings us to $750 in needed monthly support. Please consider joining our monthly support team. One-time gifts are also vital as they help us to meet the monthly shortfall in support.
